In Search of The God Particle

The topic of Origins is one of my favourite fields of study, so I try to stay as informed as possible on various aspects of this vast subject. Recently The Large Hadron Collider built by CERN near Geneva, Switzerland has been much in the news, particularly in its stated aim to find The God Particle that apparently holds the keys to the mysteries of the Universe. I have been studying a great deal about the LHC and The God Particle or the Higgs boson as it is officially called to try and understand what it all means. I found an interesting article that was published back in 2008 in The National Geographic with glossy photos and all. I perused this article, and others rather carefully, and having done so I found that I was left with more questions than answers. Even some of the scientists working on the project do not really expect much in the way of answers, so all the media hype is just that, hype and nothing more. Although the journalist for NG, Joel Achenbach, titled his article, At the Heart of All Matter, it turns out that whatever is turned up at CERN may not really matter after all. Since Particle Physics and Quantum Physics is portrayed to hold all the answers like the Oracle of Delphi, or so we are told, I decided to take   some quotes from the NG article to show readers that when we read between the lines the picture is not so clear, and when we carefully peruse quotes from Particle Physicists themselves, we discover that they have few if any answers to the mysteries of the Universe. That even after 150 or so years since the first Quantum Physics theories were formulated, they remain just that UNPROVEN THEORIES, not gospel truth as we are (mis)led to believe!

Bali Mangti Kali Ma (Mother Kali demands sacrifice)

CHILD SACRIFICE: FROM ANCIENT TIMES TO THE PRESENT DAY

Human beings have been murdering each other at a fantastic rate since Cain gained the dubious distinction of becoming the first man to murder another, and that his own brother Abel. A special way of murdering humans is through the act of ritualistic human sacrifice. It is a common misconception that human sacrifice was practiced only by tribal barbarians in the deep Amazon or in the jungles of Africa or by the bushmen of Australia. However as evidenced by history, almost all cultures from the ancient Babylonians to the Phoenicians to the Hindus of India to the druids of Britain to the civilizations of the new world such as the Aztecs have all sanctioned human sacrifice as a State religion. It has been practiced openly and ritualistically in civilizations that would be considered to have been culturally advanced, not barbaric or tribal. And sadly this satanic practice has claimed more children as victims than adults. Jeremiah 19:5 They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind”. This practice of burning living children in a fire, infants in most cases, predated Jeremiah by a thousand years or more and continued longer after he was dead. The Canaanites who were displaced by the Israelites under Moses and Joshua were famed for this abominable practice which was also one of the main causes of God’s judgment befalling these nations. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 / There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, ... and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
The descendants of the Canaanites, the Phoenicians not only embraced this practice but elevated it to a whole new level. The city of Carthage in Northern Africa was established around 800 BC, a short time after the reign of Solomon in Israel, and was finally destroyed in 146 BC by the Romans. Carthage was the capital of the considerable Phoenician empire and one of the largest cities of ancient times. Quote: “In a single child cemetery called the Tophet by archaeologists, an estimated 20,000 urns were deposited between 400 BC and 200 BC, with the practice continuing until the early years of the Christian period. The urns contained the charred bones of newborns and in some cases the bones of fetuses and 2-year-olds”.  Quote: “The ancient city of Carthage was the capital of the Phoenician empire. Their civilization was advanced culturally and highly educated. But recent archaeological expeditions have revealed its most notable feature - the high incidence of child sacrifice. Archaeological relics have been uncovered, such as the altars on which children were sacrificed and stone markers, which marked the burial place of the remains. Stone carvings on the markers depict children who were sacrificed. Clay jars were used to hold the remains. Entire burial grounds full of these slaughtered children have been uncovered”.

The Law of Charity

In human society LAWS are formulated to place restrictions upon man’s freedom to act as he chooses. The general intent is to protect man from doing harm to his fellow man or to himself. For example, a speed limit on a highway is calculated to make driving as risk free for all users, a person exceeding the limit can get into an accident and harm himself and possibly other people. Laws against stealing protect members of society form each other, because there is a threat of punishment most people choose to obey the law rather than suffer the consequences. The more laws we have in society the less free we are as a society. ABSOLUTE FREEDOM is an ideal that can only be achieved where there are NO LAWS, for the very intent of any law is to restrict freedom not promote it. The first five books of the Bible called the Torah or The Law are the constitution written by God for the nation of Israel. These were the laws by which the Israelites were commanded to govern themselves. The Law of Moses as The Torah is also called is actually a very egalitarian document and the US constitution is based in large part on this Law, particularly as pertaining to property rights. The Law of Moses which is actually the Law of God did not elevate one group of society above another but treated everyone fairly and equally; it even made provisions for non–Israelites to be treated with fairness even though they were not citizens of Israel. The Law is encapsulated in the Ten Commandments.

Regrettably man’s nature is such that it is a constant battle to do the right thing. As an aside, how to do the right thing, to be a moral person is not for man to define. If man chooses to be his own moral authority, it would result in total chaos; being that are 6 billion plus people on the planet, we could potentially have 6 billion plus definitions of what morality means, what is good and what is evil. ‘One man’s meat is another man’s poison’ is a saying that would be appropriate in such a situation where man would determine his own morality. Therefore ‘Good and Evil’, how to be moral has to be defined by an authority higher than man to have any sort of validity. The Law of Moses said that if any one kept the whole law without breaking any section of it, he would be ‘Good’, not in a relative manner but in an absolute sense. This would also free the person from the penalties associated with the breaking of any of the laws including death. However man is naturally inclined towards evil, not good and is therefore incapable of keeping the law, even the Ten Commandments let alone the whole of the Torah. This was the history of the nation of Israel in Biblical times; they failed miserably in keeping God’s law. As in any society, law breakers have to eventually pay the penalty, even if they are shown mercy for a period of time. God dealt with Israel with forbearance, patience, and mercy and longsuffering over the course of their history but eventually the penalty could no longer be withheld and led to the nation devastated by the Roman armies in 70 AD under General Titus who later became the emperor of Rome.

The problem with man is that his conscience is attuned to evil and thus it comes naturally for man to lie, cheat, steal, be filled with jealousy and envy, to be bitter, to be greedy, selfish, wanting everything for himself at the expense of others. Unless man’s conscience can be changed it is not just an uphill battle for him to be good, it is an impossible task. The world is filled with SELF HELP books and philosophies; there is no shortage of gurus offering guidance to make us ‘better’, to heal us in spirits and souls, even our bodies! Yet the history of the world teaches us that none of these cures work, for is they did our world would be paradise not a barren wilderness of spiritually mangled and twisted people, living in pain that they desperately try to cover up with all sorts of distractions and addictions such as entertainment, sports, drugs and alcohol. Life is hard they say therefore they need to escape reality, be it through TV (soaps, sports or news is irrelevant), or by numbing their minds and bodies through intoxicants such as alcohol, prescription drugs or even illegal drugs. Inner peace that is so sorely lacking in this world is not attainable through material gain, and since we do not have the tools to heal our inner selves on our own (even through the help of professionals or gurus), the world remains filled with despair and destitution on a scale that most people stay willfully ignorant of. In cities filled with millions of people, each man seems to be an island unto himself, lonely even when surrounded by family and so–called friends. The world is a truly dark place, far more than most people realize, especially in western countries. Watch some of the videos on this website if you really want to understand the depth of the depravity of man, of inhumanity of man towards man that will never be seen on CNN or CBC. http://pbsblog.com/index.html

The problem being a spiritual one, that of conscience, the solution must also be a spiritual one. This is the ultimate purpose of Jesus laying down his life for us, it was not just to forgive our sins and leave us as we were but rather to transform us in our very conscience, from evil to good. Hebrews 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? The plan of God from the very beginning was not to keep us tied down to the ritualistic Law of Moses with its vicarious animal sacrifices but rather to FREE US FROM ALL LAW, make us ABSOLUTELY FREE by purging us within our very conscience. It is the blood of Christ alone that has the power to cleanse us in our inner selves and make us absolutely free to LOVE ONE ANOTHER. Man is not capable of unselfishly loving his fellow man; if he was everything would be right with the world. ‘All we need is love’ may have hit # 1 on the charts for The Beatles but without a good conscience, unselfish love is an impossible condition. Despite major misperceptions about the God of the Old Testament, promoted even by so–called clergy, the plan of God has always been to make man capable of divine love, a love that is as different from human love as day is from night. Only then could man become truly divine, holy even as God is holy.

1 Timothy 1:5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned. As proven by this scripture, the commandment or the law ends where charity has taken root in the heart. Charity is a word used for divine love in the Bible and means unselfish love not giving of money as it has come to mean in modern times. When man can love unselfishly there will be no need for any laws to tell us what we can do and what we can’t do. A heart filled with divine love that arises out of a pure conscience is incapable of doing harm to anyone. This is the meaning of true freedom, not to be bogged down by burdensome laws but to be free to love, in conscience, in truth, from the heart not just in word or tongue. John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

I tried to find out how many laws are on the books in the United States; I could not find any website that actually provides even an approximation. The best answer was found on this website: http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/311453.

2012: End of the World? Part 1: Introduction

This is a revised introduction to the 2012 series that I began writing a couple of months ago. In light of the massive earthquake that devastated Haiti a few days ago, I will be revising and reposting all articles in this series over the next couple of days.

The Myth of the Mayan calendar

The movie ‘2012’ that opened on November 13th, 2009 is the first big Hollywood production to capitalize on the hype surrounding the year ‘2012’ that is supposed to be the beginning of the end of the world. I wonder if the release of the movie on the 13th of the month had any symbolic significance, just wondering! If you haven’t seen the film this trailer will give you a pretty good idea of what to expect in it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hz86TsGx3fc

THE MAYAN CALENDAR AND 2012: The underlying theme of the movie is soon coming planetary destruction, beginning on winter solstice, December 21, 2012. This date is based primarily on the interpretation of the Mayan calendar that supposedly ends on that date. I have read varying interpretations of the Mayan calendar and not all ‘experts’ agree that the calendar ends on the preceding date or even if it ends at all. However, like Y2K, this date has caught the fancy of ‘doomsayers’ and is breeding many new ‘doomsday’ cults that may even see ‘Jonestown’ and ‘Heaven’s Gate’ type mass suicides as the date draws near. The movie actually depicts a ‘Jonestown’ type mass suicide at the base of a Mayan pyramid that once served as a site for mass human sacrifices at the hands of bloodthirsty Mayan priests. Watch the movie ‘Apocalypto’ if you wish to understand a little bit more about the actual practice of the Mayan religion. Here is a quote from http://www.religionfacts.com/mayan_religion/index.htm / In fact, human sacrifice seems to have been a central Mayan religious practice. It was believed to encourage fertility, demonstrate piety, and propitiate the gods. The Mayan gods were thought to be nourished by human blood, and ritual bloodletting was seen as the only means of making contact with them. The Maya believed that if they neglected these rituals, cosmic disorder and chaos would result. At important ceremonies, the sacrificial victim was held down at the top of a pyramid or raised platform while a priest made an incision below the rib cage and ripped out the heart with his hands. The heart was then burned in order to nourish the gods”.

Though the Mayans are credited as being great scientists and astronomers, the fact of the matter is that theirs was a brutal inhumane civilization swimming in the blood of innocents. Though their scientists were supposedly great astronomers that had mapped the heavens better than we can with modern technology yet they were unable to invent the wheel. What benefit was derived by the general populace from their great scientific discoveries is a mystery. The average person lived in servitude to the priesthood and royalty, and lived a short painful life filled with hard labour, that is, if they were fortunate enough to live out their natural lives and did not end up becoming a sacrifice to the gods. Though the purpose of this article is to separate ‘2012’ hype from possible reality and not a history lesson, it is important to understand that mankind in general, and Hollywood in particular has a great affinity for romanticizing past civilizations and their history, even when facts would dictate otherwise. Therefore this 2012 date and its relationship to the Mayan calendar is suspect at best. If their gods that they so diligently and brutally worshiped were unable to save their own civilization from destruction, it would be unwise to put much faith in their powers of prediction. So it would serve us well not to become ‘fearful’ about the prospects for the future continuity of our planet based on Mayan predictions and Hollywood movies based upon such predictions.

2012: SHORT MOVIE REVIEW: The movie ‘2012’ is rather mediocre as far as the story is concerned and is filled with one too many ‘close call’ special effects that become tedious after about the second time when the protagonists escape death miraculously even as the earth is literally swallowing everything up around them. The roadway splitting in two behind them, the runaway literally being swallowed up by the earth even as the airplane wheels are no more than a cm. above the ground, a pilot who has never flown a twin engine plane expertly guiding it between two skyscrapers crashing into each other, these are all examples of the cartoonish nature in which the director has chosen to portray the end of the world. Nonetheless there is much truth that can be gleaned from the film if one has ‘eyes to see’. In subsequent articles in this series I will discuss some of the cataclysms portrayed in the movie and the probability of such catastrophes devastating the planet in the near future. The potential end of the world should be a matter of grave concern to us all, something not to be taken lightly. Hollywood, being in the business of entertainment, not education, can be excused for trivializing the seriousness of the subject by making the movie seem as unrealistic as possible. However, throughout history, grim prophecies and predictions of the end of the world have abounded and are to be found in all cultures, civilizations and religions. From the Bible to Nostradamus to the Mayan calendar to the Hopis of SW United States to I Ching of China, the list of such prophecies and predictions is seemingly endless.

A careful examination of such predictions and prophecies reveals that most of them are vague and subject to just about any interpretation. Some, such as the Mayan calendar, are not prophetic at all, despite all the hype the Mayans have no specific prophesies or predictions concerning the end of the world, all the hype is simply based on the fact that the calendar supposedly ends in 2012.The Bible is unique in this respect that the prophecies in it are rather detailed, especially in the book of Revelation. Approximately ¼ of the Bible is prophetic, dealing with events that were in yet the future when it was first written, a major part of those prophetic events concern the events that will occur in a very short period of time that is termed ‘the end of the world’, and are still in the future. The end of the world in the movie 2012 is caused by a series of massive solar flares hitting earth that destabilize the earth’s core setting in motion the cataclysms to come. This activity is first observed by a physicist in India in 2009, and based on his calculations, and that of a fellow American physicist, a conclusion is drawn that only a limited amount of time remains before the earth’s crust breaks apart and the earth literally sinks into the sea. Many of the other catastrophic events depicted in the movie such as massive earthquakes, giant tsunamis covering continents, and super volcanoes erupting are also prophesied by the Bible to begin happening in quick succession, and in ever greater magnitudes till the very end.

BIBLICAL PROPHESIES REGARDING ‘THE END OF THE WORLD’: Before going any further let me emphasise that according to the Bible, the end of the world is not the same as the end of the planet Earth, or even the end of all life on it. Biblically speaking ‘The World’ is the system that dictates life on Earth, so ‘THE END OF THE WORLD’ is literally a disintegration of all present world systems particularly those of Economics, Politics, and Religion. In this ‘2012 Series’ I would like to use the movie 2012 as a visual aid to reference many of the events prophesied in the Bible, particularly in the book of Revelation. Biblical prophecy regarding the end of the world that signifies the end of this present age rather than the end of planet Earth may be divided into the following categories based on Jesus’ prophesies recorded in the book of Matthew, chapters 24 and 25, Old Testament prophesies, and the whole of the prophetic book of Revelation. Biblically speaking ‘the end of the world’ will be imminent when all of these ‘signs’ begin to be seen simultaneously or in quick succession over a short period of time, a decade or two at the most. The list of categories of catastrophes and cataclysms of unprecedented proportion soon to overtake mankind may broadly be classified as follows:

  • WARFARE / (both civil and international) on a planetary scale. In all likelihood WWIII will be fought across Asia and Europe, and may include North America. Most of Africa and South America will see internal strife and civil war as is already on going in many African countries.
  • DEPOPULATION / A loss of life on an unprecedented scale mainly through warfare, famines, and pandemic disease. Unlike even a decade ago talk of pandemic diseases with mass casualties is no longer considered improbable, most experts now predict ‘when not if’ such plagues will wipe out a large percentage of human life on earth.
  • ECONOMIC COLLAPSE / It seems that overnight the world went from ‘booming economy’ that brought unprecedented prosperity worldwide to a ‘bust’ of titanic proportions. The bust must be complete, and on a worldwide scale before the end.
  • NATURAL ‘EARTHLY’ DISASTERS AND COSMIC ‘HEAVENLY’ DISASTERS / Planet wide devastation on a scale greater than the 2004 Indonesian tsunami and the recent Haiti earthquake. Bombardment by heavenly projectiles such as asteroids and other bodies is a distinct possibility, even a certainty.

Many of the above listed events were depicted in the movie ‘2012’ and many were cryptically hinted at by the makers of the film. As this series progresses I will expound on each of the above categories in detail and make reference to many scenes and sub plots within the film to give readers a visual frame of reference for these Biblical prophesies that ‘must surely come to pass’ before the end of the world and the return of Jesus Christ. Readers who follow this series will realize that though much credit for ‘doomsday’ prophesies is given to sources such as the Mayan calendar and people like Nostradamus, the fact of the matter is that there is no greater work of prophecy regarding the end of the age (among other subjects) than the Bible. The Bible identifies ‘Doomsday’ itself as the ‘Day of the Lord’ and from Genesis to Revelation a significant portion of the Bible addresses this very subject. So even though many are making a business out of what we may call Y2K12 by referring to the mystical and cryptic information contained in the Mayan calendar, the fact remains that the Bible gives more details about the end in one chapter (Matthew 24) than all of the prophecies of the Mayans, the Hopis, the I Ching, the Tibetan book of the dead, and Nostradamus put together. It stands to reason that if the one who gave the prophesies is also the one who has the power to make them to come to pass then it’s a no brainer to figure out where we should be looking for accurate information regarding future events; it’s all in the book called THE BIBLE. To be continued...

2012 Series: Another Y2K or the End of the World?

Strange spiral: Residents in northern Norway were left stunned after the lightshow, which almost looked computer-generated, appeared in the skies above them (this is an actual photograph.)

Earthquakes in diverse places

Winter solstice 2012, when time supposedly comes to an end is less than 3 years away. The movie ‘2012’ that opened on November 13th, 2009 is the first big Hollywood production to capitalize on the hype surrounding this purported date for the beginning of the end of the world. If you haven’t seen the film, this trailer will give you a pretty good idea of what to expect in it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hz86TsGx3fc

Massive planetary destruction resulting from various causes is what the movie is basically all about. California and the west coast are hit by a series of earthquakes, one of them measuring 10.9 on the Richter scale. This results in most of California including the city of L.A. sinking into the Pacific Ocean. The movie also makes mention of two 8.5 earthquakes hitting Rio Di Janeiro in Brazil, once again wreaking devastation of biblical proportions on the city and on the South American continent. As the year 2012 draws closer, the ‘doomsday’ prophets also grow in number, some who sincerely believe what they preach and others who are capitalizing on the growing hype as was the case with Y2K. The purpose of this series of articles is to bypass the hype and calculate real probabilities of such biblically proportioned catastrophes overtaking the planet in the near future. Biblically speaking the major signs that would indicate the imminent end of the world were listed by Jesus in Mat. 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom (warfare): and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. Jesus warned us to look for warfare, famine, pestilences and earthquakes in diverse places, meaning all across the globe not just in certain regions. He also stressed the point that the end would come when all these signs began to materialise simultaneously or in quick succession, and on a global scale. The post WWII world has truly become a ‘Global Village’ so for the first time in history, catastrophes, be they economic, political, or health related have a greater probability of having global implications than ever before in history.

In light of the recent 7.0 earthquake in Haiti that has resulted in casualties possibly numbering over 100,000, this article will focus on the subject of earthquakes. The earth has been quaking since at least the flood of Noah some 4500 years ago so what we have to look for is not the occurrence of earthquakes but rather the frequency with which they will occur and the magnitude of the quakes. According to the following table provided by University of Milwaukee – Wisconsin there were 28 earthquakes of magnitude 6 or higher in 2009, many in populated areas. The website linked here also provides information on some of the major earthquakes of 2009 including one that was measured at 8.0 in Samoa and caused a tsunami that wrought much destruction on the tiny island. In most cases, warfare, famine and pestilence, the other signs that Jesus gave to indicate the potential end of the world, may be seen approaching from a distance. Earthquakes on the other hand strike without warning, other than building better designed buildings that can withstand the force of major earthquakes, there is not much that can be done to prepare for them, or even to forewarn populations of such threats.

The following table shows the major earthquakes that have shaken our planet in the past decade. This data has been selected from the UMW website.

YEAR

EARTHQUAKES (Magnitude 6.0 and greater)

2001 – 2003

42 (average of 14 per year, roughly one a month)

Since 2004, which was the most active year this past decade as far as earthquake activity is concerned, there have been on average about 2 major earthquakes every month, this average is definitely higher than that observed over the last century. 2010 has already witnessed two 7+ quakes and one that was over 6 on the Richter scale. If this trend continues over the course of this year with major quakes hitting populated areas it would serve us well to pay close attention and see if the other indicators, warfare, famine and pestilence are also on the rise. If this does prove to be the case then `2012`may turn out to be more than just hype; it may indeed be the year when all these `signs` converge to make people sit up and realize that they are not in Kansas any longer.

‘Climate Change’, whether in the form of ‘Global Warming’ or an ‘Ice Age’ (take your pick) is forecast to bring about catastrophic changes to our planet in the near future, very near future according to the distinguished experts that gathered together in Copenhagen last month to hammer out a treaty on this issue. Man’s activities may indeed bring about catastrophic changes to the earth’s ecology but the cause may not necessarily be the average person driving automobiles or using hairsprays. As discussed in some of my previous articles ‘Weather Modification’ is no longer the realm of witch doctors or science–fiction, it is a proven fact that governments across the world are actively engaged in such activities, from the Chinese wanting snowfall to the Russians not wanting snowfall to the Indians wanting rain; God only knows which other nations are trying to play God with the weather!

Could such known interference in ‘Nature’ not have unintended (or intended) consequences such as earthquakes of ever greater magnitude? William Cohen, former secretary of defence under Bill Clinton did make mention of the abilities of ‘others’ to engage in environmental terrorism, here’s a quote from a speech he gave in 1997 at a counter – terrorism conference, "Others are engaging in an eco-type of terrorism whereby they can alter the climate, set off earthquakes, volcanoes remotely through the use of electromagnetic waves. ... So there are plenty of ingenious minds out there that are at work finding ways in which they can wreak terror upon other nations. It's real, and that's the reason why we have to intensify our efforts." There are even UN treaties dating back to 1977 that forbid the use of weather as a weapon. Since treaties are generally signed after the fact it stands to reason that countries had engaged in weather warfare prior to the signing of the treaty and this has indeed been proven to be the case where the US employed ‘weather modification’ technologies in Vietnam to induce extreme monsoon conditions over the country. The information that this happened in Vietnam comes from a Senate Committee hearing held in 1974 which probably led to the 1977 treaty.

So when it comes to ‘natural disasters’, they may not all that natural any longer. When various agencies engage in weather modification or weather control or even weather warfare activities, how can we be sure that all potential ‘butterfly effects’ have been calculated so as to not have unintended consequences? ...In 1972, Philip Merilees concocted Does the flap of a butterfly’s wings in Brazil set off a tornado in Texas? as a title for a talk to be given by Edward Lorenz who first defined the butterfly effect. When the Chinese decided to clear the skies over Beijing for the Olympic Games using weather control technologies, who is to say that it could not have resulted in a tornado in Oklahoma or a flood in India or a drought in Romania? Technology will play a major role in bringing this world to an end; this becomes apparent when studying the prophecies of the book of Revelation. What may not be apparent is that as has frequently been the case in history, man is his own worst enemy and will actively engage in activities that will result in devastation of the planet and of the species. That strange ‘unnatural’ phenomenon are being observed more and more when it comes to weather is beyond dispute. Just recently there was a beyond weird, almost Twilight Zone material light show over Norway that in no way could be attributed to natural processes.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3z8DlNZKag This video of the Norway Spiral as it has come to be known reveals technologies at work; technologies the existence of which the average person is completely unaware of. As an aside the Norway spiral I believe is a test of holographic technologies that will play an important role in the events that precede the end of the world as we know it. Some of these technological aspects of the end were discussed in my last article, 3D Avatar and the Triple 6 Beast. Read more about the Norway spiral: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1234430/Mystery-spiral-blue-light-display-hovers-Norway.html#ixzz0cxW2NGDG

In conclusion I would like to say that having studied prophecy for some 30 years now, and having been on watch for the ‘signs of the end’ for that same period of time, it is for the very first time in my life that I see multiple signs being made visible simultaneously. The world is a more tense place today than any time since the early 60’s, rumors of wars are rampant, pestilences (pandemics) are no longer the realm of history, worldwide drought and famine conditions are being reported, and technology is now advanced enough to make Jesus’ warning meaningful, “And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened” (Mat. 24:22). So it would surprise me not one bit to see earthquakes and other ‘natural’ disasters increase both in frequency and magnitude. Our present world is like The Titanic heading for the iceberg and I don’t see much chance of it changing course to avoid destruction. In the movie ‘2012’, the Woody Harrelson character, Charlie, admonishes his listeners to make their peace with their Maker, that sounds like a good idea to me and I would encourage readers to do the same. I will continue this series with some of the other signs to watch for such as increased probability of famines in diverse places due to droughts and floods and other disastrous conditions that have reduced food production over the past couple of years.
