It will be very messy through most of southern Ontario Friday, as an Alberta clipper, combined with moisture from a Texas low makes it way into the province.
As of 7 a.m. Pearson Airport had already seen 9 centimetres of snow while in Markham it reached 11.
A Winter Storm Warning is currently in effect for an area stretching from St. Catharines to Mississauga.
The low pressure system is expected to drop up to 35 cm in some parts of the province while the GTA could see closer to 28.
