Wars and Rumors of Wars: Kings of the East Rising

Blogman’s Notes:

Drums of wars are beating ever louder as air strikes are being called for on Syria. From what we are being told, some 7500 people have died in about a year of protests and armed rebellion against the Government of Bashar Assad in that country. It is even admitted that all of the people killed have not died at the hands of the Government but the so – called rebels have also done their share of killing soldiers and people who represent the government. So in a country in a state of civil war, only 7500 people have died in one year, that I think is a very low number for any war. Yet the US is urging its allies to form another coalition to go bomb Syria back to FREEDOM. As in Libya where Gaddafi had killed hundreds but Operation Libyan Freedom that launched 10,000 + bombing raids on Libya not only destroyed the infrastructure of the country (some reports say that it has been bombed back to the Stone Age) but NATO / USA also killed some 40,000 Libyans leaving that nation in a state of Anarchy. Even today a violent civil war is raging inside of Libya and thousands continue to be killed, to be driven from their homes, and to be made destitute. Is this how the US government and NATO define Freedom? If I were a Syrian I would be very wary of Westerners that came promising Freedom but leave with nothing but death and devastation in their wake as in the case of Afghanistan and Iraq. Given the choice I am 100% certain that the majority of Afghanis would choose the Taliban, the majority of Iraqis would choose Saddam Hussein, and the majority of Libyans would choose Moammar Gaddafi to rule over them rather than the supposed Freedom bringing westerners.

The rhetoric of an attack on Iran is also being ratcheted up, and as usual it is highly unlikely that there will be any diplomatic solution. The hypocrisy of Israel, the only Nuclear power in the Middle East demanding that any nation should not be similarly armed, is beyond words. Yet it is very symptomatic of the surreal Picasso / Dali type world that we live in today. China is increasing its military budget by a whopping 11%, Russia is fast modernizing its military capabilities, India too is on a shopping spree buying bigger and deadlier weaponry rather than feeding its half billion perennially undernourished citizens. Yes, the world is heading for some major fireworks that will leave a scorched earth across continents in the not too distant future. Even if you do not believe in Biblical prophecy, history teaches us that as nations build up their armies rather than their economies, war follows soon thereafter.

·         Joel 2:1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;
·         Joel 2:2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.
·         Joel 2:3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.

(Reuters) - Benjamin Netanyahu assured President Barack Obama on Monday that Israel has not made any decision on attacking Iran's nuclear sites, sources close to the talks said, but the Israeli prime minister gave no sign of backing away from possible military action.

Just the idea that a puny little country like Israel could actually launch an attack on any minor nation, let alone a major country like Iran without Washington’s approval and assistance is laughable. If and when such an attack comes, it will either involve the US or it will have Washington’s tacit approval and logistical support.

With world pressure at a peak in the boiling crisis, U.S. Sen. John McCain called for air strikes against Syria. He said the United States has a moral and strategic obligation to force out Assad and his loyalists.
"The only realistic way to do so is with foreign air power," the Arizona Republican said from the Senate floor. "The United States should lead an international effort to protect key population centers in Syria, especially in the north, through air strikes on Assad's forces."
Isn’t this an exact repeat of what happened in Libya a few months ago? The Libyans may have been saved from Gaddafi but not from the NATO bombs and now from the various factions that are war with each other inside Libya. Libya, a peaceful country for over 40 years under Gaddafi lies in ruins today, and tragically the same fate awaits the Syrians! There is no world pressure to attack Syria, just from the US and NATO!

·         China to Increase Military Spending by More than 11 Percent

China’s National People’s Congress spokesman Li Zhaoxing announced yesterday that Beijing will boost military spending by 11.2% to about $106.4 billion in 2012. This figure doesn’t include all of China’s defense-related spending. There is possibly a large amount of invisible military spending.

[Wen Zhao, Political Commentator]:
“So the defense budget basically leaves out several areas. The first is modern weapons development, such as aircraft carriers, stealth fighter jets, nuclear submarines and ballistic missiles. The second part is foreign procurement…The third part is paramilitary spending; the Chinese regime has a very large so-called armed police, which is actually a military system. And this expenditure is not included in the defense budget.”

The increase in military expenditure is slightly less than the one in 2011, which was 12.7%. But it’s enough to draw concerns in the Asia-Pacific region.

The kings of the East, China, India and Russia have been on a spending binge lately and whenever nations acquire weapons of war at a fast and furious pace, it is only a matter of time before WAR follows…

Matthew 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Matthew 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Revelation 16:12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

Once again you may not believe in Biblical prophecy but it is a fact that the Kings of the East are not toothless tigers anymore, in the case of China it is fast becoming a fiery dragon, how long before war ensues?
