Russia and China will switch to trade in rubles and yuan to boost bilateral trade and economic cooperation, following an agreement signed between the central banks of both countries, Russian Central Bank Deputy Chairman Viktor Melnikov said on Thursday. ...
Geneva Bank for International Settlements (BIS), the watchdog for central banks, today warned nations like India and China, where debt is fuelling huge gains in property prices and consumption, that they were running the risk of building up the imbalances that now plague the advanced economies...The report also cautioned of global financial mayhem and devastation if investors flee from the sovereign debt of a "major economy" underscoring the need to address "over indebtedness" on a war footing.

DEBT IS NOT PROSPERITY - DEBT IS SLAVERY! Because people can buy a car with a loan or a house with a huge mortgage, they begin to believe that they are rich and prosperous. The whole world today functions on DEBT that must keep increasing or the system blows up. But just like a hot air balloon can be pumped only so much to make it fly higher before it blows up; so too are debt based economies. The question is not if the world economy is going to blow up, the question is when will it blow up completely, and change the world in ways that we cannot even begin to imagine at present, none for the better!

Camper Shane Hillhouse said four-wheel-drives had been travelling along the popular stretch of sand, near Inskip Peninsula, shortly before the hole appeared. ``This has the potential to take the tip of Inskip Point with it – this is huge and on a scale I’ve never seen before,’’ he said. ``People are bringing chairs and sitting back to watch it in awe. ``This is absolutely amazing – it’s almost at the tree line now.’’

Mr Hillhouse said the sink hole had expanded dramatically since 11am.
``It’s three times bigger than it was an hour ago,’’ he said. ``Chunks are falling out of the beach into nowhere. Where is the sand going? It’s just incredible.’’ Another camper said sand was dropping 150m into the ocean, although the depth of the hole is unknown. VIDEO

The sick geese appear to have problems controlling their muscles, with many struggling to walk and others laying their heads on their backs, said Dave Sherman, a biologist at the Crane Creek Wildlife Research Station operated by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.....
A few of the birds have lost control of their muscles while flying and dropped out of the sky, he said.
"If they're able to stand, they just act like they're sort of out of it," Sherman said. "If they're in the water, they'll flop around a little bit."
