SIGNS OF THE END / prophecies being fulfilled? News update Feb. 18, 2011

              Weekly News Update - February 18, 2011
It is because the end of the world is an absolute certainty that we have been given unmistakable signs to watch for with prayer so that we will have the understanding of what is really going on in our world, not the anthro-centric CNN / Hollywood version that is constantly being beamed at us through the media. The prophetic signs of events that will comprise the ‘End of the World’ may be divided into the following categories (Please review my series of articles titled ‘Is this the End of the World’ for the reasons why these categories are relevant and important. News reports that fit these categories have been linked and prophetic Biblical references have been provided to prove that these events are pointing to an imminent fulfillment of all ‘End of the World’ prophecies recorded in the pages of The Bible.

In the following section, News reports have been grouped according to category. The heading has been linked to the original story and a brief synopsis has been provided. My comments and observations are in italics below the original report. Please click on the link to read the full story and / or to watch videos if included in the story.

·         ECONOMY / The end of the world is inextricably linked to the end of the global economy. Just like the internet links all points on the globe, the Global Financial / Economic / Banking systems link all nations. So for the first time in history, it has become possible for all nations to sink simultaneously since no nation on Earth, exercises Economic Sovereignty in any meaningful way. The prophesied end of the world by definition means the end of the whole world, not just parts of it. So Economic normalcy cannot continue in one part of the world while other parts are rapidly disintegrating. ‘Globalization is a very important piece in the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy for even until about 20 years ago, the world was nowhere near as interconnected financially as it is today, and China was nowhere near the economic powerhouse it is today. I believe China will be instrumental in crashing this global house of economic cards, and as nations disintegrate economically they will descend into anarchy that will lead to the fulfillment of the rest of ‘End Times’ prophesies.

  • FAMINES / FOOD SHORTAGES / News about food related catastrophes, famines, food inflation etc.

  •  GEO – POLITICAL TENSIONS / News about war between nations, and civil war / social unrest within nations

  • EXTREME WEATHER / Climate related problems of a much greater than ‘normal’ severity

  • PANDEMICS / News of Pestilential infectious and fatal disease outbreaks

  • TECHNOLOGY NEWS / Advances in Technology plays a very important role in fulfillment of end times prophecies; it is therefore necessary to keep tabs on technological advances that are indicative of technology used in the Bible, especially the book of Revelation.

  • ANOMALOUS / PARANORMAL EVENTS / These are events that are neither seen as a norm nor can they be explained as normal occurrence; an example would be the numerous instances of birds falling dead out of a clear blue sky by the hundreds and even by the thousands.

ECONOMIC NEWS

Mcalvany Weekly Commentary / I highly recommend this audio program that airs weekly on Economic issues. I find the analysis to be profound yet presented simply enough that most ‘financially illiterate’ people can understand it. I suggest that rather than listening to CNBC or Bloomberg, listen to this audio program because it is factual and will be of much greater use to the average person in understanding what lies beyond the horizon in the realm of Economics and Finance.

  • 47 Statistics That Indicate That Economic Stress Points In 2011 Could Be Setting The Stage For A Global Economic Meltdown In 2012 Is the world approaching a devastating global economic meltdown?  Right now there are a large number of factors that are creating economic stress points all over the globe.  All of the crazy money printing that the Federal Reserve and other central banks have been doing is putting inflationary pressure on agricultural commodities, oil and precious metals.  Massive floods, horrific droughts and extreme weather patterns all over the globe are ruining crops and creating food shortages.  Some nations are now actually hoarding food, and in other nations rising prices have sparked food riots.  The price of oil has been moving back towards $100 a barrel, and if it stays at a high level for an extended period of time that is going to have very serious consequences for the global economy.
Borrower nations are not blessed of God, and the US is now the most indebted nation in the history of the world.
Deuteronomy 15:6 For the LORD thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.

FOOD  INFLATION / SHORTAGES / FAMINES

Catastrophic food price inflation and shortages of food and famine are prophesied in the Bible.
Revelation 6:5–6 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. 6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
A penny was one day’s wages in Biblical times; this scripture tells us that time will come when a day’s wages will buy only one loaf of bread and a handful of barley (grain). These days are already here in many parts of the world and will spread across the globe.

  • Rising Food Prices Push Millions Into Poverty, Study Says A sharp rise in food prices since June has pushed 44 million people in developing countries into extreme poverty — having to live on less than $1.25 a day — according to a new study by the World Bank. The bank’s price index soared 29 percent from January 2010 to January 2011 (15 percent just from October to January). Wheat, maize, sugar and edible oils have seen the sharpest price increases in the last six months, with a relatively smaller increase in rice. The rising prices have increased the vulnerability of economies, particularly those that import a high share of their food and have limited capacity for government borrowing and spending.

As written in the Introduction to SIGNS OF THE END: Prophesies being fulfilled?, in a world created by an infinitely intelligent Creator with purpose and intent, it is not possible that it would come to an end without reason. Though the reasons why God would create an ‘evil world’(Galatians 1:4), are complex, the reasons why it must come to an end are more apparent. Please read the introduction or watch this short video to understand that the wicked systems of this world cause so much pain, misery, suffering, and death in this world that a Righteous and Just God can tolerate only for a season; and that season of tolerance is soon coming to an end. The signs of the end that are apparent from the News Reports listed in this series are only a symptom of the diseased condition of the human spirit, soul and mind.

Deuteronomy 28:39–42 / 39 Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them. 40 Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast his fruit. 41 Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity. 42 All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume.

Hackers gained access to secret government data, the CBC reported, and forced the finance department and Treasury Board to cut internet access. CBC cited Canadian officials saying it was unclear if the attack originated in China or was routed through there. Read More
In my last radio program on End of the world prophesies, I had hypothesized that the end of the US dollar is inevitable, the real cause for which has been official policies. However to divert attention from those truly responsible, smokescreens will be created that will be blamed for the demise of the dollar. One such possible smokescreen would be Cyber – attacks on Western banking and financial computer systems. Therefore I was not at all surprised to read a story such as the one cited above.

  • Youth unemployment offers a flashpoint in Europe, too – Guardian UK / Having millions of intelligent and jobless young people sparked revolts in the Middle East and risks trouble nearer to home The past month has provided a stark illustration of the unrest caused by having millions of young, intelligent and frustrated people on the dole. In Tunisia and Egypt, high levels of youth unemployment helped create the conditions for political change. But it is not just countries in north Africa and the Middle East that are concerned about the high incidence of joblessness among the young. In Spain, the youth unemployment rate is 40%; in Ireland there are fears of a new brain drain and in Britain the latest trend suggests that there will be more than 1 million people under 25 without a job this spring. Now that the good times are coming to an end worldwide, people are pining and longing for those days. However when the good times were rolling, hardly anyone stopped and gave thanks to God, from who descend all GOOD THINGS. When times are prosperous and God speaks, few, if any pay attention for they are too busy enjoying the good times. Will they turn to Him in times that will be anything but good?

James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Jeremiah 22:21 I spake unto thee in thy prosperity; but thou saidst, I will not hear. This hath been thy manner from thy youth, that thou obeyedst not my voice.
Matthew 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. Revelation 6:4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

The End of the World events as prophesied in the Bible include much Extreme weather, and geophysical destruction, from Earth based systems such as mega storms, hurricanes, cyclones, tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanoes, and such. There will also be much destruction through cosmic bombardment by space based projectiles, most often theorized to be asteroids by scientists and Hollywood. Movies such as Armageddon and Deep Impact are works of fiction but though the cause of the destruction described in such movies may not be altogether accurate, yet the scale of destruction as depicted in these films will most likely be accurate.

Revelation 8:8 – 9 / 8And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; 9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

  • Korea’s FMD outbreak hits crisis point RICHARD SMITH Report out of Australia17 Feb, 2011 The meat industry in South Korea, one of Australia’s top beef export destinations, is facing an unprecedented crisis. Since South Korea’s first confirmed case of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) on November 29 last year, Seoul has ordered the culling of more than 3.3 million livestock, including about 3.15 million pigs and 150,000 cattle. The country’s pig and cattle herds had numbered 10 million and three million head respectively. Seoul estimated losses could exceed two trillion won ($1.8 billion).  Read More

As the story out of Korea reveals there will be a sacrificing or culling of animals worldwide due to strange diseases such as foot and mouth disease, which I believe is also known as ‘Mad Cow’ disease. I don’t think many people would consider such calamities as judgments from God, therefore they seek answers anywhere but from God who alone has power over these plagues. When millions of animals are culled, is it not a fulfillment of scriptures such as Deut. 28:31? Do these things not place a great strain on the already strained food situation in the world?

Deuteronomy 28:31 Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue them.
Luke 21:10 Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: 11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

TECHNOLOGY  NEWS

Revelation 9:1–3 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. 2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. 3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

From their description, these locusts are not what we would consider to be natural creatures. It is almost certain that they are manufactured. Technologies such as those shown in the video above are already advanced enough to manufacture the ‘locust’ army of Revelation 9:1–1 1. Melding of man and machine is no longer the realm of Science – Fiction; it is ongoing in the present day . Transhumanism as described in Joel 2:7–9, which is a description of Super Human soldiers will soon come to be demonstrated as reality.

ANOMALOUS / UNCOMMON / PARANORMAL  NEWS
As animal habitats shrink, and as food shortage problems escalate worldwide, it stands to reason that animal attacks on human will increase in number. Perhaps this is the reason why we are told that many people will be killed by the beasts of the earth in the last days.

Revelation 6:8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
Hosea 4:3 Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.

At the end of 2010, the last article I posted on my blog was titled 2011 Predictions. I am truly surprised by how many of the events that were expected to transpire based on Biblical prophecy have already come to pass in just over a month in 2011. Are we witnessing, or will we be witnessing the beginning of the end of the world in the very near future? It is a bit too early to declare that this is indeed the case but there may not be much doubt left by the end of this year if events continue
