Addendum to Part 2 of What is the Real Matrix series

The following is a quote from part 2 of this series: ‘So the Bible makes it clear that there are intelligent supernatural invisible spirits or energies appointed by God to control and manage all of creation not just the Earth.’

The understanding of supernatural (meaning ‘not corporeal’) intelligent beings guiding and managing all of creation is an ancient one. It is only recently, after two centuries of conditioning, the masses, mostly in western countries, have been misled to believe in the random theories of ‘natural’ processes. Just as water doesn’t come into our taps by happenstance or electricity into our homes, neither does the earth or the sun or the planets stay their course without a guiding hand. I know that water flows in my home because somebody somewhere opens the reservoirs and guides the water through carefully laid pipes, and similarly electricity comes because it is being generated somewhere and intelligently guided through wires to get to me. Just because we may not understand the exact process of how the earth and the cosmos are managed, does not mean there is no Manager. Here’s a quote from a 12^th century Jewish philosopher Maimonides who concluded as much that ‘Angels’ are minds without bodies (invisible intelligent energies) that control the visible dimension of creation. It is a little bit of a misrepresentation that angels have no bodies; they do but these bodies are made of non – material energy not of flesh and blood, in other words not made of matter.

Quote: ..This leads Aristotle in turn to the demonstrated fact that God, glory and majesty to Him, does not do things by direct contact. God burns things by means of fire; fire is moved by the motion of the sphere; the sphere is moved by means of a disembodied intellect, these intellects being the 'angels which are near to Him', through whose mediation the spheres [planets] move... thus totally disembodied minds exist which emanate from God and are the intermediaries between God and all the bodies [objects] here in this world. – Guide for the Perplexed II:4, Maimonides

Whilst I may not agree with the exact process as described by Maimonides yet in substance he is right that God’s angels are his managers that control and guide the cosmos, the cosmos does not guide or maintain itself.

I concluded part 4 of this series as follows: In the final segment of this series I will detail the 'all pervasive nature of this Matrix, of this ideology that shrouds people’s minds anywhere and everywhere, how it originated and why it exists. This will not be the final segment since there is more that I need to share but could not because of the length of this article.

Morpheus: The Matrix is a System, Neo.

In the last segment of this series I hypothesized that ‘In essence the SYSTEM is an unwritten code of conduct to which people adhere to voluntarily in society. It is not the same as the laws of the land. The ‘System’ places mental boundaries, like an invisible dog fence, around a person’s mind beyond which they dare not step’. The Economic component of the ‘System’ was discussed in some detail in part 4, and in this segment I would like to discuss the other two powerful but ultimately insidious components of the ‘System’ that are so detrimental to the spiritual welfare of a person in this life, and utterly destructive for the destiny of the ‘Soul’ in the next. These two components are:

As reported over the course of last year, food prices in India have been rising at historic levels and with 1/6th of the world's population to feed, this could easily turn into a major catastrophe.

The world is changing before our eyes in ways I have never witnessed in my 50 or so years. People have been screaming 'THE END' for a long time but what we are witnessing now may indeed signal the beginning of the end. But is anyone paying attention? People have an 'ostrich head in the sand' mentality when it comes to information that may disturb their ever so carefully crafted world in even the slightest manner. History teaches that we are not really in as much control of our lives as we tend to believe and I am of the opinion that the Matrix world most people live in is about to come crashing down on their heads, just as the dirty 30's wiped out the fun 'n' games lifestyle of the roaring 20's. It seems unimaginable for the majority in wealthy nations that they may face days of hunger and lack, but if history teaches anything it teaches that from Sumer to Babylon to Egypt to Persia to Greece to Rome, the party always come to an end, most often violently, and most often with the majority completely unprepared for the end. There is no doubt that this party too will end soon, the only question is how bad will the hangover be?

In the Beginning…God

While working on the next segment of What is the Real Matrix? series that I will be posting soon, I came across this article that I wrote about a year ago. It seemed worthy enough or being updated and re-posted. 

The origins of man and of the cosmos should not only be a subject of great interest to us but it is also a subject of vital importance to us as human beings. We must first understand how we got here and then only will we be able to understand what is the purpose of life on Earth. The two major non – biblical theories of origins are the so-called scientific ‘Big Bang’ Theory and the mythological ‘Chaos’ theory. Wikipedia states: “As used by cosmologists, the term Big Bang generally refers to the idea that the universe has expanded from a primordial hot and dense initial condition at some finite time in the past, and continues to expand to this day. The scientist and Roman Catholic priest Georges Lemaître proposed what became known as the Big Bang theory of the origin of the Universe, although he called it his "hypothesis of the primeval atom".

Leaving aside the fact that this theory originated with a Catholic priest who is supposed to believe in God, it fails to explain how the original primordial hot and dense condition came into being in the first place. Although garbed with a scientific cloak the big bang theory has a lot in common with the mythological explanations of the origins of the universe and of intelligent life. Mythology claims that everything began in chaos but again fails to explain how the chaos came into being in the first place. Now let’s study what the bible teaches us about the origins of the cosmos and of man. 

John1:1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

I concluded part 3 of this series by quoting from the movie: Morpheus: The Matrix is a System, Neo.

In part 4 of this series I will analyze THE SYSTEM, the ideology that supports this system that is antithetical to the spiritual, mental, and even physical health of people. Yet the very masses that are enslaved by the system fight tooth and nail to defend it. Why? The answer is that they are truly imprisoned in their minds, by an invisible power that cloaks their minds; the nature of this cloak as embodied in The System will be detailed in the next segment.

WHAT IS THE ‘SYSTEM’?

One of the definitions of the word ‘System’ is as follows:

1.       The prevailing social order; the establishment.

In essence the SYSTEM is an unwritten code of conduct to which people adhere to voluntarily in society. It is not the same as the laws of the land. The ‘System’ places mental boundaries, like an invisible dog fence, around a person’s mind beyond which they dare not step. Even though there may be no legal compulsion or even religious requirement to conduct their lives in a certain manner, it is evident that most people in society ‘go with the flow’, they are much more comfortable following the beaten path rather than being pioneers and blazing their own trail. Fear is the dominant emotion of mankind motivating almost all their actions, the conduct of the majority is ruled by fear. The ‘System’ is based on fear, and it is through fear that people get enslaved in their minds without even realizing it or questioning it. And thus they become willing cogs in the machinery that is called the ‘System’. The ‘System’ has been symbolically represented by some as a ‘Beast’ and this is not too far from the truth. In the movie, Morpheus correctly identified the Matrix as a system, in this segment of the series I will present a Biblical viewpoint of what the ‘System’ is, and how it keeps people in bondage by making them constantly fearful. The ‘System’ has two main components, one physical and one mental that work in conjunction to keep people fearful, falsely believing in a purpose of their existence that has no basis in reality. These two components may be defined as:

1.       ECONOMIC (the need to make a living, and therefore to compete)

2.       SOCIAL (the need to keep up with the Joneses, peer pressure)

Morpheus: The Matrix is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window, or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work, when you go to church, when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.

·         Neo: What truth?

·         Morpheus: That you are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else, you were born into bondage, born into a prison that you cannot smell or taste or touch. A prison for your mind. Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Matrix is. You have to see it for yourself.

In Part 2 of this series it was proven that the Bible teaches that there are two dimensions of creation; the Visible and the Invisible. The electromagnetic spectrum diagrammed below shows that the visible light spectrum forms a proportionately miniscule portion of the entire spectrum. What this spectrum proves is that there are infinitely more forms of invisible energies such as gamma rays, X-rays, infrared, radio waves, microwaves etc. than there are visible ones. Our planet and the Universe are filled with invisible energies, powers and forces that we really do not fully comprehend. Even most of scientific knowledge in this realm is ‘theoretical’ not ‘factual’. Since it is a proven fact that there is so much invisible energy compassing our planet and beyond, why then do people have such a difficult time believing that there may exist invisible intelligent energies and powers that have a considerable impact on the visible world much as invisible solar energies influence natural processes on earth? The answer to this question is The Real Matrix. There indeed do exist intelligent invisible powers that influence man’s thinking processes, to keep his mind enslaved, blinded to the real world.

·         I  concluded Part 2 of this series with the following words: “There also exist another type of intelligent spirits called ‘devils’ who also inhabit the unseen dimension and serve a different purpose. These intelligent but evil spirits do not exist to control the forces of nature but rather to control the very nature of man. They do this by creating an alternate belief system, by subtly influencing the thinking processes of man to convince him to willingly place value upon mundane and meaningless things, to believe The Matrix to be the Real World. The architect of The Real Matrix is Satan who has created an ideology, a belief system for man that has no basis in reality. The reason for the creation of, and existence of these ‘evil spirits’, forces of darkness and negative energies, and their influence upon mankind will be discussed in part 3.

• "The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you're inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inert, so hopelessly dependent on the system that they will fight to protect it." – Morpheus elaborating on ‘The Matrix’ to his protégé Neo.

In the movie The Matrix, Morpheus explains to Neo that the Matrix itself is a system. What exactly is a system?

The word ‘SYSTEM’ is defined as:

1.       A group of interacting, interrelated, or interdependent elements forming a complex whole.

2.       The prevailing social order; the establishment.

The system is a set of rules that govern the behaviour of people on this planet. People in various countries live under different forms of government, ranging from somewhat democratic to almost completely totalitarian. Regardless of the form of government in power, the ‘system’ as defined in the movie is not necessarily a political entity. Nor is it an economic or religious entity. Economics, politics, and religion do define life for most people on earth but the system itself is something that is intangible yet all pervasive.

Morpheus tells Neo that The Matrix is prison for the mind. The Matrix, as symbolised by The System is an idea, rather it is an ideology that keeps people voluntarily enslaved within their own minds. People govern their minds, and therefore their lives, based on their belief as to the purpose of their life. This purpose need not necessarily be verbalized or defined, even in their own minds, but the way people conduct their lives reveals their belief more than words. Ergo, The Matrix is not exactly a system but rather a BELIEF SYSTEM, an externally imposed belief system that has not originated with man but has kept man enslaved for thousands of years. Present day economic, political and religious systems are all an integral part of The Matrix but are not The Matrix itself. The ideology that is The Real Matrix is very subtle and diabolical, and no wonder, since it originates with a non – human entity that is very subtle, and who is not just diabolical, he is the devil himself. So what is The Real Matrix?

THE REAL MATRIX

The Real Matrix is a web of invisible spirits and intelligent influences that envelop the earth as well as the minds of people like a cocoon. These spirits act with deliberation and malice to enslave the minds of mankind. The internet is a modern day technological counterpart to this ancient web of deceit that has covered the planet from pole to pole and all points in between since the days of Adam and Eve. It is a vortex of evil energies that work upon individuals, families, communities, towns, cities, states, nations, regions and the whole world to blind their minds from the truth. The information that follows reveals how it works.

2 Corinthians 4 v 3: But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4. In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not (HAS PLUGGED THEM INTO THE MATRIX), lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

The Matrix movie trilogy was a major box office success, especially the first one in the series simply titled The Matrix. The following brief description of the movie is from Wikipedia: The film describes a future in which reality as perceived by humans is actually the Matrix: a simulated reality created by sentient machines to pacify and subdue the human population, while their bodies' heat and electrical activity are used as an energy source. Upon learning this, computer programmer "Neo" is drawn into a rebellion against the machines, involving other people who have been freed from the "dream world" and into reality.

As described above the premise of the movie is that the majority of the population lives in a dream world, a world that exists only in their minds not in reality. This simulated reality that the people lived inside of, and believed to be the real world is explained as follows: Simulated reality is the proposition that reality could be simulated—perhaps by computer simulation—to a degree indistinguishable from "true" reality. It could contain conscious minds which may or may not be fully aware that they are living inside a simulation. In its strongest form, the "simulation hypothesis" claims it is entirely possible and even probable that we are living in a simulated reality.

In the movie the simulated reality is accomplished by interfacing the human brain with a computer. This idea has also been explored in other movies such as the recent blockbuster ‘Avatar’ (click to read my review), and ‘Surrogates’ featuring Bruce Willis.

Money Money Money...

                             Always sunny in a rich man’s world?

What is Life? This question has been asked since time immemorial, and has been answered in more ways than we can count. However, when one looks beyond the high sounding philosophical rhetoric, at the actual way that people live, even the philosophers, it becomes apparent that for the vast majority of humanity LIFE means THE BODY and nothing more. This is true even for ‘spiritual’ gurus whose lifestyle proves that their actions do not align with their stated beliefs. The very word LIFETIME means that life has a period of time allotted to it which is the same as the time that the body is alive. Therefore Life and Body are synonymous: LIFE = THE BODY

• WHAT EXACTLY DO PEOPLE LIVE FOR? We live in a BODY – CENTRIC world. Look around you and you will find a world built around the worship of the body. This is easy enough to prove for the world only admires people with power (leaders), looks (actors, models) or physical prowess (athletes). These are the role models in this world with no regard whatsoever to their spiritual or moral condition.

A Body – Centric world is based on one’s belief that the BODY IS LIFE. If one truly believed that life was something other than the body, or at the very least something more than the body, they would surely spend a bit more of their time, and expend a bit more of their energy in nurturing that which they believed to be that Life. A Body – Centric world is the Natural World, literally the world of nature. In the world of nature survival of the body is the purpose of life, both for man and animals. The law of the jungle is merely survival at all costs. Like a beast marking out his territory that none weaker than him dare trespass upon, even of his own species, man too spends his days marking out as much territory for himself as he possibly can. If this were really not the truth, then man’s reason for existence would not be focused on the body. He would then understand that if his existence were to continue into infinity beyond the body, then at the very least he would spend as much time planning for his existence outside of the body as he does for the time he has in the body. If people really believed in life after the body dies, beyond the natural world, the word LIFETIME would have no meaning. The time of life would not be measured according to the age of the body; rather the time of life in the body would constitute a miniscule part of the whole of life, of the infinite existence of the person.
