(CNN) -- A heat wave is building and could reach dangerous levels in parts of the Midwest, the Plains and the Southeast this week. Fifteen states are under heat advisories, which means temperatures are expected to exceed 105 degrees Fahrenheit (40.5 degrees Celsius). Kansas City and St. Louis in Missouri are under an excessive heat warning, along with Tulsa, Oklahoma; Memphis, Tennessee; and Evansville, Indiana. In these areas, the heat index, or how hot the body feels due to the combined effects of heat and humidity, will reach between 110 and 115 degrees this week (43 and 46 degrees Celsius).
The people interviewed in this video are all used to air – conditioning and other modern amenities, as are all people in the developed world. How would people cope if electricity was disrupted for an extended period of time, especially in the winter? A lot of amenities we take for granted will not necessarily be available in the future, our world is deteriorating in climate and infrastructure more rapidly than most people understand. This deterioration will only accelerate in the future. An automobile with a flat tire, no oil, and with a leaky gas tank cannot go very far; neither can our world and this planet, both of which have been suffering severe trauma for a very long time. It seems that the world and the Earth may be suffering cardiac arrest in the very near future, and the results will be catastrophic for the world and its inhabitants.
MISSOURI RIVER FLOOD 2011: Hundreds of square miles underwater, crops destroyed
Revelation 16:9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
Will people ever understand that there are no random processes in creation; that God is always in control? If God has deemed the wickedness of man to be so great that He sends extreme judgment on man’s world, will man consider his ways and change? As we can read in the above scripture, men would rather blame God than their own wickedness for such catastrophes, and so the prophesied worldwide devastation through climate disasters, among other things cannot be stopped. The likelihood of the majority of people on Earth surviving the coming calamities is very remote; though our bodies may not survive, we can do something to ensure the survival of our soul. We can believe in Him who has power over death, His name is Jesus Christ.
Revelation 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
If Jesus truly is Alive FOREVERMORE, if He truly has the keys of DEATH and HELL, who else can save us from death and hell, except He who alone has power these enemies of our bodies and souls?
On 7/10/11, we experienced an outage last night for about 2 hrs here in Longview, TX. It has become a common occurrence and happens on an average of once or twice every few months now. I did find myself thinking how horrible it will be once we find ourselves possibly without any electricity on a permanent basis. I have purchased a rechargeable lantern and a manual battery charger for such times as this. I noted that everyone around me had no means of lighting. I am unable to afford a generator, but anyone who has the means available, I highly suggest they get one. Anyway, I wish to thank you for all of the work that you put into your sites and praise God for you. When another job opportunity comes along for me, I would find your work most honorable to donate towards keeping. I offer no flatteries, only discernment towards all of your heartfelt motives to serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thank You. :)
