ECONOMIC NEWS Economic News Video Update: It is my belief, as that of many other Christians and non – Christians alike, that we are living in unprecedented times, in times where the ‘End of the World’ as we know it is imminent. I base my belief upon Biblical prophesies, and in these reports I try and determine how close or how far we are from the actual end. These News Updates and other prophetic teachings are for the purpose of comparing current events to Biblical prophesies to determine what we may expect to see in the near future based on prophecy. I believe we can draw a pretty accurate picture of things that will be coming soon, and what we can do to prepare ourselves for the turmoil that is already beginning to engulf the world, turmoil that will soon turn into tribulation for all that dwell on the face of the Earth. So what signs should we look for that will be a clear signal that the prophesied ‘End of the World’ has begun? I have written many times before that it is my belief that the ‘End of the World’ as prophesied in the Bible will begin with a collapse of the world economy; we are currently witnessing this collapse in its early stages. In my opinion total global economic collapse will be signaled by the collapse of the US dollar, an event that was unthinkable, at least among mainstream academics and journalists just a couple years ago. However, these days, almost everyday multiple reports come out, even in the mainstream media, about the coming collapse of the dollar. It is no longer debatable whether the US dollar will crash and lose its role as the world’s Reserve Currency; I believe it is a foregone conclusion. Although we can conjecture what the consequences of such a collapse will be, I do not believe any one person can fully evaluate the gravity of the economic catastrophe that will result from a collapse of the world’s Reserve Currency. It is this event, more than any other, which will signal that we are witnessing the ‘Beginning of Sorrows’ (Matthew 24:8) for the world and mankind. The ‘Sorrows’ as prophesied to come by the Lord Jesus are 1. Warfare. 2. Famines. 3. Deadly Infectious Diseases. 4. Earthquakes and other ‘Natural’ disasters. However, before these ‘Sorrows’ begin in earnest the world’s economy must collapse bringing misery to every nation on Earth. I am of the opinion that we may see the US dollar collapse as early as fall of this year, but no later than the end of 2012. I am leaning towards an earlier time because of the seriousness of the problems that are already being felt worldwide by the continuing devaluation of the US dollar. Since almost all commodities, but specially Oil are priced in US dollars, inflation is beginning to cause serious pain to the poorest people of the world as food and energy prices continue to skyrocket. Tragically this is only the beginning of the problem, and even more tragically it is the poorest that pay the price of the greed of the wealthy. Starvation is coming to the world and under these circumstances I do not believe the US dollar will be able to last another 18 months; I am expecting its complete collapse within a year. When that day arrives, and it may just be a matter of a day in which it happens, the End of the World as we know it will have begun. So the Economic stories that I will be linking in these weekly News Updates will be focused primarily on the collapse of the US dollar, and given the significance of The Economic Collapse in initiating the ‘End of the World’ events, I will post the Economic News Update on its own rather than with the rest of the News categories that I update every Friday. I had made an observation that there are five possible events that I can think of that would greatly hasten the demise of the US dollar. One or more of the following five events may prove to be the catalyst for the sudden crash of the US dollar, and the events or events will be blamed for the crash of the dollar whereas in reality it is Federal Reserve and US Government policies that are the real cause for the demise of the world’s Reserve Currency. Keep a close eye on the following events to come to pass in some shape or form in the days and months ahead. Read More Ultimately what we are witnessing in these historic times is an end of the 5000 plus years old ‘Mercantile’ system, the system of Commerce, of Buying / Selling / Trading / Merchandising / Banking / Money; the system that has defined life on Earth since man’s early days. The money based system itself has become synonymous with the world, and therefore the end of the system literally means the end of the world as man has come to know it for over 5000 years. Good riddance I say, it is a system that promotes greed, avarice, selfishness, wickedness, and violence. No wonder the Earth has been filled with violence and bloodshed since the day Cain killed his brother Abel. People may not readily connect the two but ‘Merchandising’ and ‘Violence’ go hand in hand; however it is not surprising for the very first ‘Merchant’ was not a man but a much higher and more powerful being, ‘the anointed cherub’, about whom we can read the following in the book of the prophet Ezekiel: Ezekiel 28:16  By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. It is no surprise that the Merchant Bankers of today, the spiritual descendants of that anointed cherub are also the merchants of death in our world. However their day of reckoning, as that of the whole world approaches rapidly and they shall not escape!       Revelation 18:11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more: 15 The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, 16 And saying, Alas, alas that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls! What we are beginning to see today is leading up to a complete annihilation of the money based system of Commerce; Commerce has come to mean Life for people, and few give thought to God who gives them Life, and would give them richly all things to enjoy if only they would stop chasing things! As surely as there is a God in Heaven these things are going to come upon the world, it may now be time to stop worrying about our momentary existence in this world and start thinking about our eternal existence in the world to come.
