Signs of the end of the world: These words sound very ominous, and so they should, but those who put their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ understand that the purpose for which God gave us these signs is for us to know when the signs are being fulfilled or close to being fulfilled. Therefore it is important to be aware of current events transpiring in our world; for when these events begin to correspond with Biblical prophecy, then we will know that the time of the fulfillment of all things written is close at hand. For example in Luke 21:9 Jesus warned that … “when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by…” If we are not paying attention to what is going on in our world, how will we hear of wars and commotions and other signs that must be fulfilled before the end comes? 

In past writings and audios I have repeatedly stated that the Bible does not teach that the end of the world means the end of the planet earth. The planet will continue for a long time after the world that presently sits upon it is gone. The best example I can offer is that of the time of Noah. In those days the planet saw catastrophic destruction but the Earth did not vanish. However, the world that then existed was completely and totally destroyed. The planet is a terrestrial body not made by man, but the world that sits upon it consists of cities, villages and other objects that are manmade; it is the manmade structures and everything built my man that will be destroyed as the world comes to an end as it did in the days of Noah. In the process of this destruction by various means, by man himself and by powers beyond his control, the Earth too will experience catastrophic destruction. I believe that the days in which the world will experience the type of destruction not seen since the days of Noah, and loss of human and animal life on a scale also not seen since the days of Noah, are close at hand. Therefore it is more important than ever before to watch closely that which is transpiring in our world, and to prayerfully compare current events to scripture to accurately understand present day times and seasons. The Lord Jesus warned us repeatedly not to be caught unawares by the long ago prophesied catastrophic destruction of this world, that we should be fully aware when the days of destruction are upon us.

It is for the purpose of making us aware so that these times do not overtake us a thief in the night that we have been given unmistakable signs that would reveal to those who have the eyes to see, and ears to hear, that the end of the world is close at hand. The majority of the world will continue leading their lives in the hypnotic trance that prevents them from understanding these signs; therefore this information is for the small remnant that are not deceived; the small remnant who are ‘watching and praying’, the small remnant who will not be overtaken as a thief in the night by the soon coming ‘End of the World’, and soon coming ‘Day of The Lord’, and the day of vengeance of our God. 

The prophetic signs of events that will comprise the ‘End of the World’ may be divided into the following categories (Please review my series of articles titled ‘Is this the End of the World’ for the reasons why these categories are relevant and important. News reports that fit these categories have been linked and prophetic Biblical references have been provided to prove that these events are pointing to an imminent fulfillment of all ‘End of the World’ prophecies recorded in the pages of The Bible. 

In the following section, News reports have been grouped according to category. The heading has been linked to the original story and a brief synopsis has been provided. My comments and observations are in italics below the original report. ECONOMY Mcalvany Weekly Commentary / I highly recommend this audio program that airs weekly on Economic issues. I find the analysis to be profound yet presented simply enough that most ‘financially illiterate’ people can understand it. I suggest that rather than listening to CNBC or Bloomberg, listen to this audio program because it is factual and will be of much greater use to the average person in understanding what lies ahead in the realm of Economics and Finance.  An Interview with Ian McAvity / Posted on 26 January 2011. I was struck by the symbolism of the ‘end of the world’ in the above story; not our present world but  the world as envisioned by investors and bankers all too eager to play with money that was not their own. The end of Dubai world will not be limited to Dubai, it will be repeated on a much bigger scale in China and other countries. The Chinese, as the next story reveals have been building a whole world in their country, a world that curiously does not house their own citizens. The strange story of China’s brand new ‘Ghost’ cities in pictures: These amazing satellite images show sprawling cities built in remote parts of China that have been left completely abandoned, sometimes years after their construction. Elaborate public buildings and open spaces are completely unused, with the exception of a few government vehicles near communist authority offices. Some estimates put the number of empty homes at as many as 64 million, with up to 20 new cities being built every year in the country's vast swathes of free land. The photographs have emerged as a Chinese government think tank warns that the country's real estate bubble is getting worse, with property prices in major cities overvalued by as much as 70 per cent… 64 million empty homes! With 4 people per home, that could be accommodation for a ¼ of a billion people. Only man could justify such insanity and call it ‘Economics’. In a country where ¾ of the population is impoverished and can barely afford subsistence level nourishment, for the government to spend hundreds of billions building world class cities that may never be home to any of the people of China is beyond insane. Oil 'could hit $200 a barrel' says investor Jim Rogers BBC News / The world runs on oil, and as oil prices rise to astronomical never previously experienced heights, the world as we know it will change dramatically, and not for the better. I believe oil will always be available, just not affordable; it will become a luxury that most people will not be able to afford, like caviar and champagne.  Japan's credit rating downgraded by Standard & Poor's 27 January 2011 / Rating agency Standard & Poor's (S&P) has downgraded Japan's credit rating from AA to AA-, citing Japan's worsening debt situation for the move… Japan’s credit rating has been downgraded, the UK and USA are sure to follow, sooner or later. This will certainly lead to higher interest rates, which will make the ‘Austerity’ being experienced by many nations today seem like the roaring 20’s.  For those may not remember, the roaring 20’s were followed by the dirty 30’s and wars of the 40’s.  People Begin Living Without Electricity And Water In California - Squatters In Their Own Homes (Video) Tragically I believe the above story will be repeated millions of time not just in The United States but in all formerly first world developed countries like Canada, the UK and Western Europe. The world as has existed since the Industrial Revolution has ended, most people are simply unaware or in denial that things are not going to get better, they will get much much worse. The world will not go back to where it was even at the beginning of this century; no amount of red slippers clicking will take Dorothy back to Kansas. We are heading for the days of 'Mad Max" not 'The Wizard of Oz' although in a very real sense it is the wizards of high finance that are bringing about the days of Mad Max.

PANDEMIC NEWS Japan Culls 410,000 Chickens in Miyazaki Farm as Bird Flu Outbreak Spreads By Aya Takada - Jan 23, 2011 9:19 PM ET Japan is culling about 410,000 chickens at a farm in the southern prefecture of Miyazaki as avian influenza spreads to the nation’s second-biggest growing region for poultry. The government is taking measures to contain the disease as the H5 flu virus has been detected in chickens found dead in the farm in Shintomi town, about 8.5 kilometers (5.3 miles) from where the first flu outbreak this year was confirmed, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Officials in Miyazaki culled more than 10,000 chickens on Jan. 22 after six out of 36 chickens found dead at a separate farm tested positive for influenza. I have been following this poultry culling story for some years now, for at least 7 years dating back to 2004. Despite millions of chickens, geese, ducks and other birds being culled this past decade, and despite tens of thousands of animals like sheep and cows being killed to prevent avian flu and, foot and mouth disease, neither one of these diseases has been eradicated. Violent Seismic Activity Tearing Africa in Two / The fissures began appearing years ago. But in recent months, seismic activity has accelerated in northeastern Africa as the continent breaks apart in slow motion. Researchers say that lava in the region is consistent with magma normally seen on the sea floor -- and that water will ultimately cover the desert. One of the important signs of the ‘end of the world’ will be major earthquakes all over the world. Seismic activity, as for example reported  in the above story by Der Spiegel out of Germany about the massive fissures appearing in Africa, is on the rise. I do not believe we have yet seen earthquake activity of the magnitude prophesied in the Bible. World business leaders told flying saucers are real & extraterrestrials exist January 25, 2011 / For the first time at its annual conference, the GCF held a panel discussing UFOs and extraterrestrial life. Titled “Learning from Outer Space” the panel comprised five speakers who all endorsed the view that extraterrestrial life is real, and has many implications for the world as we know it….he panel was held on January 23, and was a “main plenary” session meaning all GCF participants were able to attend and hear what the experts had to say about UFOs and extraterrestrial life. This story would be filed under ‘nutcase’ files were it not for the fact that the information was presented in a highly respected forum with attendees that included world political and business leaders. From a Biblical perspective, there is no doubt that non – human intelligent beings permeate this world and the Universe. The Bible also teaches that there is a VEIL that prevents human from seeing these non – human creatures.  However, The Bible also tells us that a time will come when this veil will be lifted, and then man will be able to see openly into other dimensions and interact openly with ‘aliens’, which in fact are none other than the creatures identified as ‘devils’ in the Bible. I firmly believe that sooner rather than later it will be disclosed that we are not alone in the Universe. Too much time, money and effort has been spent trying to condition people to accept ET. Not only will they accept ET (Satan), they will worship him openly.  Rev. 13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
